I Heart Kami Tora

Most of you, I'm sure, are familiar with the wonderful, squirmy-making art of          Kami Tora.

I first saw his work at The Cherry Red Report, and was instantly enchanted.

I'm generally not much of a cartoon girl. One of my best friends has a major thing for cartoon porn, and I've always been a bit puzzled by that. Why look at cartoon porn, I always thought, when perfectly good photographs are abundantly available?

But then I saw the work of this "Renoir of the Red Ass", as Dave calls him....

...HOLY SMOKES!

In putting together this entry, I've been trying to figure out what it is about his work that makes it so yummy for me.

Is it, for instance, his brilliant portrayal of bubble butts turned blazing red? That's certainly part of it.

Perhaps his skill at telling a story in one image? That's a huge part of it, as well.

But I think what I'm most enamored by is the penitent looks he gives the girls he creates.
Masterful!
Thanks, Kami Tora, for the gorgeous pictures!

  1. Pictures that suggest a story. The warm red glow of the bottoms coupled with varied expressions on the face of the girls certainly draws the viewer in. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Kami Tora does fine work indeed; my favorites from KT display a great sense of humor!

As you might imagine, Libby, I've pondered your question about why cartoon depictions could have more appeal than "real" photos, and I think you hit upon the main reason: it's a somewhat exaggerated and intensified capture not only of the event, but of the emotions and personalities!

Combining that with the appeal of well-done art and perhaps the memory of a cartoon that tripped our first awakenings to the appeal of spanking, and voilà!

  6. Wolfie, thank you so much for weighing in on this topic about which you are so expert. Illustrations are still not the first place I turn, generally, for my spanko art fix. But that picture of the girl holding the belt between her teeth and crying...well, that's a very nice picture. I'll leave it at that!

I did have you in mind when I wrote this, and was looking forward to what you might say. Thank you again for commenting.

  7. Fab post...I'm anxiously awaiting his latest spanko creation. *sigh* [Posted a lengthy interview with him on my blog quite some time ago, which offers some insights into his pervy mind.]

Kami Tora's work often features a much-needed sense of humor combined with, of course, hawtness...literally, dripping ....wet hotness...umm....where was I?
